DIY Christmas Scriptures Advent Calendar {and Link'n Blogs link party #2 AND a giveaway!}

This is my first year making my own Advent Calendar. Normally, we buy the chocolate candy calendars from the German store downtown and munch our way to Christmas. This year, chocolate is OUT for me, since I can't eat dairy! {sadness, right?!} I decided to do a scriptures Advent Calendar this year, to help get my mind off the chocolate I can't eat -- and get my mind on the true meaning of Christmas. This advent calendar is probably one of the easiest you could ever make. Just print - cut - and attach! That's it. I've included the free printables for you, too, so you can get going on your own scriptures countdown to Christmas. It's not too late to start! {you can even eat a piece of candy while you read the scripture, if you are feeling left out of the yumminess!}

Simply download the printables. Cut out the scripture cards. Attach the numbers over the corresponding card {I used washi tape!}. Hang however you would like! I chose to use twine & mini clothespins to attach mine to an empty picture frame. You could use double-sided tape and put your numbers on a bedroom mirror or the back of your bedroom door. You could glue the tops onto the twine and string them across your mantel. OR, if you just want the scriptures countdown list, I've also included a download of a regular size and mini size list, so you can put it in a frame by your bed or slip one into your scriptures. That way, you can still remember to read a scripture each night, without the cards. I even have mine PINNED, just in case I forget and am in bed, I can look it up on my phone to read the scripture.

Merry Christmas! Happy countdown!

{be sure to read on for the LINK PARTY and a GIVEAWAY!}
